How Retro-Brite Works - Part 1: Into/Summary

This is another very common question everyone asks and in true Retro-Brite blog fashion I’m going to answer this in multiple parts. However, here is the relay simple "hand-wavy" short answer

Retro-Brite works through the creation of free radicals which react with the plastics to alter the chain of chromophores to alter the color of the plastic back to its original color. It's really a bleaching process which uses a specifically formulated peroxide gel to restore your plastic back to its original color!
